Sherri Shepherd tests positive for COVID days into talk show's new season: 'I am absolutely heartbroken'

By  Emlyn Travis September 20, 2023 at 12:07 PM EDT         Sherri Shepherd  is putting her talk show on pause after testing positive for COVID less than a week into its new season.  "I am absolutely heartbroken that I cannot return to host my show this week," Shepherd said in a statement published on  the series' Instagram account  on Wednesday. "As soon as I get the all-clear from my doctor, I look forward to coming back strong to deliver the fun, laughter, and a real good time." The post also featured a note from the talk show, which stressed that "the health of our host and entire staff is of the utmost importance" and that it intends to "return with original episodes as soon as possible." Sparks fly, roof collapses, employee hurt in raging junkyard fire in Billerica, Massachusetts Billerica Junkyard Fire Tag: Breaking News Fire burning at a junkyard in North Billerica sent a huge plume of dark smoke into the sky on Friday afternoon. One employee suffered severe burns during the incident, officials said. Sky5 flew over the fire and saw both a structure and old cars burning at Jack's Used Cars & Parts, located on Town Farm Lane. While flying overhead the cameras recorded an explosion in one of the vehicles. Hearst Owned The roof of one of the junkyard's buildings also caved in while Sky5 was overhead. Firefighters aimed their hoses at the burning building. A medical helicopter transported the injured worker to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
